Cllr Tony Goldson, Trustee & Chairman
Tony Goldson is County and District Councillor for Halesworth, Chairman of Halesworth Campus Ltd, and a Trustee of Halesworth Playing Fields Association. Cllr Goldson's career was as a specialist nurse in HIV/aids, genitourinary medicine, drugs and alcohol addiction. He is a qualified national trainer for many health related issues, and has worked for the Home Office and Department of Health. In the T.A. Cllr Goldson gained the rank of Major.
Barbara Warren lives in Beccles but has been using The Rifle Hall for her Exercise, Movement and Dance classes on Mondays and Wednesdays for over 30 years.
She loves the hall and is passionate to see it restored to its former glory and used by the community to its full extent. By becoming a trustee, Barbara hopes to make a difference to this wonderful old Hall and Halesworth in general.
Kevin Vail, Trustee
Mr Vail owns and runs Adkris Asbestos Consultants. He is Chair for the Great Yarmouth & Waveney branch of the Federation of Small Businesses, working closely with local members, MPs from each area and local authorities. He has been Chair of the Waveney Business Forum since 2010. The Forum represents its founder members (the market towns of Waveney, Kirkley & Lowestoft, the Federation of Small Businesses & the Chamber of Commerce), meeting monthly to discuss and dispense business guidance and help.
Dr Simon Weeks
After an academic career at the Universities of Reading, Sussex, and Aston in Birmingham, Dr Weeks pursued a career in local government, gaining experience and skills in research, planning, quality assurance, policy development, capital programmes, organisational development, and project management. He worked with Suffolk County Council from 1992-2004. Dr Weeks is a Friend of the Walpole Old Chapel, Director of Halesworth Campus Ltd, and Chairman of Cookpole Energy Action.
By becoming a trustee, Michelle will be helping to ensure that the Rifle Hall continues to be a valuable asset to everyone.
