Would you like to become a 'Friend' of The Rifle Hall? This page provides some basic information about the Friends initiative and tells you how you can join the group.
Why does The Trust have a Friends group?
After the improvements we've been able to make over the last two years, we think the hall is now a much better venue and we would like to see it used much more often. The introduction of the Friends group, with Friends discounts is one way to encourage this.
The Friends will hopefully be able to help with fundraising, by arranging local events such as sales, games nights and dance or music nights. The Trustees will continue to seek external funding through grants, but we don't have the capacity to arrange the sorts of local events we should be holding.
What are the benefits of becoming a Friend?
One of the good things about being a Friend is that the Friends' group decides how to spend any money it raises. If the group decides that improving the toilets, or the lights is a priority, then that's where the money raised will go.
Another benefit is that all Friends will be invited to a social event which they can decide on and help to create.
What does it cost?
The cost varies, depending on the type of membership. It's £10 a year for individuals, £15 a year for families and £20 a year for organisations.
